Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

First Agent ("we", "us", "our") is operated by Mike Humbert (ABN 34 146 774 613), based in Manly, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. We provide an AI-powered job search platform at firstagent.com.au.

2. What information we collect

We collect information you provide directly when you use First Agent:

• Account information: your first name, email address, and a password (stored as a secure hash — we never see your password in plain text).
• Profile data: your current job title, target roles, industries, skills, salary expectations, work preferences, and any "hard nos" you specify.
• LinkedIn profile text: if you choose to paste it. This is used only to pre-fill your profile and generate your LinkedIn revamp. It is never shared with third parties.
• CV content: if you upload or paste your CV for the CV generator. Used only to generate your tailored CV output.
• Job advertisements: text you paste when scoring a job. Used only for that scoring request.
• Usage data: counts of features used (job scores, CVs generated, LinkedIn revamps) to enforce plan limits.
• Application log: companies, roles, and scores you choose to save — stored locally on our server.

3. How we use your information

We use your information solely to operate and improve the First Agent service:

• To authenticate you and maintain your account
• To generate personalised job scores, CVs, cover letters, and LinkedIn revamps
• To calibrate scoring against your profile and preferences
• To track your usage against your plan limits
• To respond to your support requests
• To improve the accuracy of our AI prompts (using aggregated, anonymised patterns only)

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling for third parties, or any purpose unrelated to providing the service.

4. AI processing

First Agent uses Anthropic's Claude API to generate job scores, CVs, cover letters, and LinkedIn revamps. When you use these features, relevant parts of your profile and the job/CV text you provide are sent to Anthropic's API for processing.

Anthropic's data use is governed by their own Privacy Policy. We use the API with data privacy options enabled where available.

We do not use your content to train AI models.

5. Data storage and security

Your profile data is stored in a Supabase database hosted in Australia or an AWS region with strong data protection standards. Profile JSON files are also maintained on our application server.

Passwords are hashed using bcrypt — they are never stored in plain text and cannot be recovered even by us.

We use HTTPS for all data in transit. We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, though no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

6. Third-party services

We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate First Agent:

• Anthropic (Claude API): AI generation for scores, CVs, LinkedIn revamps
• Supabase: database hosting
• Stripe: payment processing for Co-pilot subscriptions (we never see or store your card details — Stripe handles all payment data)
• Cal.com / Calendly: booking for Autopilot onboarding calls

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.

7. Waitlist

If you join our waitlist, we collect your email address to notify you when access is available. We will not send you unrelated marketing. You can ask to be removed at any time by emailing hello@firstagent.com.au.

8. Cookies and tracking

First Agent uses a server-side session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party analytics trackers, advertising pixels, or cross-site tracking cookies.

9. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access: request a copy of all data we hold about you
• Correction: ask us to update inaccurate information
• Deletion: request that we delete your account and all associated data
• Portability: receive your profile data in a machine-readable format (JSON)

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@firstagent.com.au. We will respond within 30 days.

Australian users are protected under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

10. Data retention

We retain your profile and account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will permanently remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Job scoring and CV generation requests are not individually logged beyond your usage counts.

11. Children

First Agent is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. For material changes, we'll notify you by email if you have an account.
